Day 2 – Happy Birthday!

Thrown Flowers

I got this idea from Stampin’ Connection (a demonstrator only website) but altered it to show off the Big Shot. I cut a “template” with the Clear Circle Bigz Die and did a little reverse masking! How fun is this? I love the way it came out. It reminds me of someone throwing fresh picked flowers up in the air!

It was fast. It was fun. And it has NO layers other than the Happy Birthday sentiment (and it’s flat to the card too)! Love it!

Supplies:  Happy Moments SAB stamp set; Basic Black and Bashful Blue ink pads; Pretty In Pink, Pale Plum and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers.  Naturals White and Pretty in Pink Card Stock; Modern Label and Word Window Punches; Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon and sponge daubers.  Big Shot; Clear Circle Die

Feliz Cumpleaños – female and male!

Ladies!

I’m starting a week long series called, “Quick Birthday Cards.”  Here is my first in the series.  Actually this is a duo today.  I was hired, on the fly, to make a birthday card while my cleaning crew was here.  After I made this card, they wanted me to make 2 more just like it only more masculine!

This version is using the new Sale-A-Bration set Happy Moments.  The delicate flowers on the cake just screams, “Ladies!”  Since they didn’t give me a color scheme, I went with my favorite.  Purples….. well more specifically, Rich Razzleberry and Pale Plum.  It’s lick-o-licious!   Well, this is all I needed to show them.  They all got very excited and started thinking about what other birthdays were coming up.  It was actually fun to watch them.  Carla was next to ask if I could make her a card for a 26 year old.  She wanted blues and browns!

& Gentleman!

You should also find the “masculine version” of this card.  I grabbed the Sweet Pea paper pad for this color combination!  However, I used the set Fun and Fast Notes for the birthday cake.  I think hearts fit better for a gentleman’s card then flowers :)

Ladies Supplies:  Happy Moments, Felicidades Siempre and Palabras Caprichosas (it was stamped on the inside of the card).  Basic Black Ink;  Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers; Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry and Naturals White card stock; Cottage Wall DSP.  Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and Clear Rhinestone Brads; Wide Oval and Scallop Oval Punch.

Gentleman Supplies (differences only):  Fun & Fast Notes – Sweet Pea Paper Pad – Chocolate Chip and Taken with Teal Card Stock; Chocolate Chip Grosgrain and Vintage Brads.  I also used liquid applique for the frosting!

Love Box

I have a confession to make.  I don’t always do my Make ‘n Takes when I go to Convention or Leadership.  I especially don’t stamp the 3d projects.  It’s not that I don’t want to! I just don’t stamp well under pressure.  *laughing*  And, 3D projects don’t travel well.  This box was part of the Convention Make ‘n Takes.  If you went to Convention, look for the Hello Box.

At any rate, the details of this box may be hard to see.  The box lid was wheeled with Very Vintage.  If you don’t have this wheel, you need it! I love it!!!  Also, the flower on top is actuall 6 Scallop Circles crumbled up and layered one on top of another using glue dots.  On the picture with the top view, you may see it’s sparkly!  I spritzed it with Frost White Shimmer paint and alcohol.

Where did the leaves come from?  They came from the brand new punch Extra Large Two Step Bird.  The Love Tag on the box is from the set, “Tiny Tags” found in the Mini Occasions Catalog.

What’s in the box?  Well, I didn’t take a picture of it but I gave each one of my customers a box of Conversation Hearts and had them dumpt it in one of the brand new Glassine Envelopes.  WOW! Lots of new product was used for this project!

Supplies:  Tiny Tags stamp set.  Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel.  Basic Gray and Real Red Ink.  Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss and Kraft Card Stock.  Extra Large Two-Step Bird, Scallop Circle, and Medium Jewelry Tag punches.  Half back pearl from the Pretties Kit, Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon and Linen thread.

Friend Box

This box folds flat

This was a box that we made for club. I had big plans for this box but I had to ditch those plans and simplfy things.  This box is very special as you can fold it flat! (See picture below)

Love it!

We learned how to make this box at Regionals. If you are a demonstrator it’s ALWAYS a good idea to go to a Stampin’ Up! event! You are guaranteed to learn something you didn’t know before!

I was inspired by a few different mediums for this scrapbook page layout.  If you look in the Occassions Mini, you will find a page very similar to this.  I did change it a bit but not much.  It’s such a great page.  I did add that pretty border on the bottom and changed the flowers a little…  I can’t remember where I have seen the border done like this… I want to say it was the Phoenix Regionals… but I am not sure.

Supplies:  With All My Heart stamp set.  Real Red and Pretty In Pink ink.  Real Red, Very Vanilla, Pretty In Pink and Chocolate Chip Card Stock.  Sending Love DSP.  Sweet Pea Stitched Felt; Real Red Courdory Buttons; Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brads; Extra Large Fancy Flower and Small Heart Punch; Big Shot; Simple Letters Dies and Naturally Serif Sizzlit

Leadership Memories

L - R -- Holle, Lisa, Me, Jenny

Wow!  There are so many great memories of the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona.  The best part of the whole conference had to be the fellowship that I shared with the girls!  Jenny Peterson, the lady to the right posted this picture and I just had to put it on my blog.  Here’s a picture of us, taken by the Videographer for Stampin’ Up!  This is a very flattering angle, I must admit.

We had the best time together.  Especially the last night where we splurged on ourselves and encountered different culinary delights. The only person missing from this picture is Kimberly!  She sat with the Advisory Board.

I loved every moment of our “girl” time together.  We got to learn about each other and grew closer as a team!

A Monkey Launched into Space!

A Monkey in Space

When I saw this set, I knew I had to make a pyramid. I love to stack stamps one on top of another. With Stampin’ Up!’s new CLEAR mounted stamps, it’s even easier than before.  I love the new clear mount stamps and I am officially changing over to them!

I was going to make this my Leadership Swap but for some reason, I just didn’t like it as much as the Easter card I posted.  Oh well!  Their loss is your gain!

Tote-ally Tess

Here is another swap I did before the Mini Occasions Catalog came out.  This set was part of an amazing night at Founder’s Circle.  Near the end, Shelli showed us the “proofs” for the stamps im Mini Occasion catalog.  As a bonus, we got to take one of those stamp sets home!  ANY ONE we wanted.  Talk about a hard choice!  Well, as a memory of our bus ride, I chose Tote-ally Tess.  I don’t know why they didn’t name it after me! *giggle*

Happy Valentine's Day!

There is so much to say about this card.  I have used a variety of new products on it.  This is the Mini Occasions card I did for the Rising Star swap.  I love using stencils on cards;  this one uses the brand new stencil, “Folk Flowers” it coordinates with the Razzle Dazzle stamp set.  It’s lickable.  Yes, I said it.  It’s lickable! I pounces Pretty in Pink Ink and then pounced Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on top of that.  OOOOOOH!

Do you know what else is lickable?  The new Specialty Paper Pack, Sending Love.  It’s GLITTERY!! OMG!  Every sheet has a side that’s has glitter on it.  This paper was made for me – ok, maybe not but I love it! Also, notice the punch, Pinking Hearts Border Punch that was used on that lick-o-licious paper! Seriously… the new Mini rocks!

The stamp sets that I have used is called Well Scripted and Tiny Tags.  I used the new 5/8″ Real Red Satin Ribbon and the new Embosslit for the Big Shot called Scalloped Heart of Hearts.  Stampin’ Up! has done it again!  I am just giddy over the new products!
